Parents of current and past students know the lasting impact a Northeastern education has on a young person. Through philanthropy, parents are transforming students’ lives by deepening their academic, cultural, athletic, and professional experiences.

There are many opportunities for parents to support Northeastern. You may make a gift to the Parents Fund and provide vital resources for scholarships, co-op, research, cultural activities, athletics, and residential life. University leaders direct these funds to areas of the greatest need and importance.

Alternatively, you can direct your gift to your desired area of interest, such as:

  • Scholarships that enable deserving students to finance their education or global learning opportunities
  • Endowments, which create a permanent stream of income for a specific need matching your interests
  • Programs that jump-start or sustain student and faculty programs, in any of our nine schools and colleges

To receive Northeastern updates for parents, follow us on Facebook or join our LinkedIn group. For more information, contact:

FAMILY FELLOWS PROGRAM

Northeastern’s Family Fellows Program recognizes our most generous, loyal parent donors. Membership starts with an annual investment of $10,000 or more, which may be designated to any area of the university that is meaningful to you and your family. As a fellow you will:

  • Join your philanthropic peers in exclusive gatherings with Northeastern’s top leaders
  • Witness the real-time impact of your philanthropy on our students
  • Inspire other parents to support the university through your philanthropic example

For more information, explore the  Family Fellows brochure or contact Sandra Butters.

PARENTS LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

The Parents Leadership Council (PLC) is an active, diverse volunteer group of parent ambassadors who steer outreach, provide feedback, and contribute philanthropic support. PLC members are dedicated to strengthening experiential learning opportunities, sharing parental experiences and perspectives, and welcoming new parents into the Northeastern family.

To join the PLC, we invite you to make an annual leadership gift of $1,000 or more designated to your area of interest. As a member, you will participate in outreach to parents; join a committee that utilizes your skills and talents; host or attend events, such as student send-offs and Family and Friends Weekend; and attend PLC meetings. To learn more, visit the PLC website or email us.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

In addition to providing crucial philanthropic support, Northeastern parents contribute in myriad ways. As a parent, you may:

  • Sponsor a co-op student at your place of business, or connect students with your professional network
  • Host events for students and parents, such as an accepted student send-off party or parent reception
  • Provide a service or product that enhances an academic or athletic program
  • Organize a network of parents in your region or country

We invite you to join other parents in preparing our students for a lifetime of achievement and fulfillment.
