Northeastern Business Scholar Appointed Pierre Choueiri Family Professor in Global Business

Northeastern professor Michael Enright, a leading expert on international competitiveness, regional economic development, and international business strategy, was appointed as the first Pierre Choueiri Family Professor in Global Business at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business.

Pierre Choueiri, chairman and CEO of the Choueiri Group, the Middle East’s largest media broker, and his family, have endowed the role—the first at Northeastern to be backed by a parent, and by an international donor.

Introducing the Roux Institute at Northeastern University

The Roux Institute, scheduled to open in the spring, will educate generations of talent for the digital and life sciences sectors. The Rouxs invested $100 million in the university to support the institute’s future activities.

The institute is designed as an engine of innovation, talent, and economic growth in Portland, the state of Maine, and the region.
