Advancement Communications Resource Library
Advancement Communications collaborates with partners across Northeastern—from fundraisers to faculty—to create materials that inspire our alumni, parents, and friends to help further the university’s mission. Our team develops marketing publications and design solutions, and produces multimedia projects that tell the story of how philanthropy is empowering our community to achieve what’s next.
In support of Northeastern’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) action plan—and institution-wide priorities—University Advancement has identified areas where we can join with philanthropic partners to power meaningful, lasting change on all of our campuses.

Brand Guidelines and Resources
Northeastern’s Office of External Affairs oversees university branding, including graphic identity, web design and experience, editorial guidelines, and merchandise licensing. Review standards for:
- Brand specifications, including design elements, downloads, and more
- Northeastern’s editorial style, such as when to capitalize titles and other punctuation rules
- The university’s abbreviations for colleges and academic degrees
The Digital Repository Service (DRS) is an archive that houses photos of Northeastern students, faculty, campus, events, and more. You may access it using your MyNortheastern username and password.
Started by President Joseph E. Aoun in 2011, Northeastern Ambassadors are a group of alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends who are champions of the university. They serve in a wide range of volunteer roles—from board members to alumni community leaders—that reflect their unique interests and expertise.
Ambassadors receive insider information through emailed Ambassador Alerts and a yearly print mailing of the Institutional Accomplishments brochure, plus occasional swag. To add an individual to the roster, contact Christine Burgermaster, Senior Associate Director of Advancement Communications, at 617.373.5135 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
