Northeastern’s donor recognition societies were created to honor the university’s most generous supporters. Whether you join one of the annual leadership giving societies, the Huntington Society, the Frank Palmer Speare Society, or all of them, you can take pride in knowing that you, in partnership with the Board of Trustees, President Joseph E. Aoun, and our academic deans, are advancing the university’s vital mission.

Membership in the Huntington Society honors donors who have made generous commitments of $100,000 or more to Northeastern. Since the society was established over two decades ago, individual members have expanded opportunities for experiential education for students, developed our talented faculty, and transformed our campus.

Members of the Huntington Society serve five-year terms and are among the closest friends of the university. As leaders in Northeastern’s philanthropic community, their visionary investments are making an impact for generations to come.

The Northeastern Loyalty Society (NLS) recognizes alumni donors whose annual gifts support the university’s growth and educational mission. The NLS honors alumni who have given two or more years in a row.

Gifts of any amount, to any area of Northeastern, count toward NLS membership. Consecutive years of giving are counted by fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30. To qualify, undergraduate alumni donors must give for a minimum of two consecutive years.

The Family Fellows Program recognizes the generous support of our most loyal parent donors who are dedicated to preserving Northeastern’s past and safeguarding its future. Family Fellows participation begins with an annual investment of $10,000 or more and can be designated to any area of the university that means the most to you and your family. By making an annual Fellow’s level gift, you will ensure that the vital work of Northeastern and its graduates not only continues, but enhances the experiences of all of our students.

As a Northeastern Family Fellow you will:

  • Join your philanthropic peers in intimate gatherings with Northeastern’s top leadership
  • Witness the real-time impact of your philanthropy on Northeastern students
  • Motivate others to join through the power of your philanthropic example
