Before the final puck drop on December 13, 2025, Matthews Arena stood for 115 years as one of Boston’s most storied venues—original home to the Bruins and Celtics, and a stage for history on and off the ice. Now, commemorative bricks from the arena are finding new homes with the teams that started there, carried by the deep ties that still connect Northeastern to Boston’s sports legacy.
