FINANCIAL AID

Anthony Mei, S’22

“I come from a family with three other brothers who are also attending college. Financial aid gives us all an opportunity for education without needing to worry about future debt. Without Northeastern’s financial aid, I wouldn’t be able to attend this university, especially if it placed a financial burden on my family.

Because Northeastern is so well known, graduating from this university will give me an upper hand through internships and co-ops. By participating in Northeastern’s co-op, I can make connections with companies and organizations that will hopefully guarantee me a fulfilling job after college.”

CO-OP SUPPORT

Erik Jaklitsch, E’21

As someone taking a nontraditional path—studying bioengineering, minoring in music, and preparing to apply to medical school—I appreciate how Northeastern’s co-op program gives me the ideal environment to explore my interests while also positioning me well for my future.

I think the most valuable takeaways are less tangible: I come out of each co-op with the ability to take professionalism from the workplace back to the classroom, and a sense of actionable motivation that allows me to forge my own career path.

This is all made possible because of the relationships and support Northeastern provides through co-op, and I know my fellow Huskies would agree!”

VARSITY ATHLETICS AND CLUB SPORTS

Greg Eboigbodin, AMD’21

“Seeing our hard work and dedication come full circle when our basketball team won the CAA Championship was nothing short of incredible. This moment was a culmination of so many things in addition to the work we put in. The support of donors, community members, and the Husky Nation was vital.

Students, faculty members, alumni, and families came together the day of the Championship. It was surreal, the pinnacle of my time with Northeastern Athletics. I felt the energy of the crowd, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.

This kind of support helped me, my teammates—the brotherhood, as we like to say—my fellow athletes, and our coaches in countless ways. I hope its effects will continue for years to come.”

STUDENT CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

Simoni Garg, S’21

“I love Northeastern because it offers a variety of clubs and organizations that help you meet so many other students and build meaningful connections.

I am a part of the Student Alumni Association and the NUSAAC chemistry club, both of which have really helped me network with alumni and professors in my field and learn from their experiences.

I think it is really important to give to clubs and organizations. They help us make the best of university life and help students not only network with fellow students, but alumni and other professionals as well.”

SENIOR LEGACY PROGRAM

Kate McNamara, S’19

“Northeastern helped me grow into the person I am today; discover and hone my passions; and make memories I will never forget. Each club, organization, classroom, and co-op I was part of contributed to this.

What I learned is that the experiences that were out of my comfort zone turned out to be my favorites while at Northeastern. My advice: ‘If an opportunity is intriguing, give it a try’—I’m so glad I did!

This is why I think the Senior Legacy program is so important. Senior Legacy is our chance to give back to the areas of Northeastern that shaped us and allows others to have the unique experiences that we did during our time on campus and beyond.”
